Job Description: An Electro-Mechanical Technician at Cardiacbooster will be an experienced technician with a strong understanding of electrical/electronic drawing/schematics. This role will work within a dynamic R&D team tackling challenging engineering and technical problems and generating novel solutions. The role will be hands on and include using machines and test equipment etc.

This role is part of a small team. As such you will share the responsibility of realising CardiacBooster’s full potential alongside your peers. The successful candidate will have entrepreneurial spirit, the required persistence to succeed in a start-up environment, and the ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal direction and supervision. Knowledge and experience in the development of cardiovascular devices/working within the medical devices industry would be very beneficial to this role but not a prerequisite. You will be a team player and have excellent communication skills. This role will work from the company’s office in Ireland, and be in a position to travel occasionally.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Your key responsibility is to design, assemble and test the electromechanical equipment developed within Cardiac Booster.
• You will work closely with your counterparts responsible for electrical & mechanical design 
• Good communication with peers and management

Required Qualifications & Characteristics:

The successful candidate will need a minimum of 4-6 years experience in a similar role and have a third level technical qualification or equivalent experience.

You must have proven hands-on knowledge and experience in the use of the following:

  • Lathes & milling machines
  • Test equipment e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes etcYou will also need to be proficient in solidworks and in debugging both mechanical and electrical/electronics.Excellent communication skills in English.A highly dynamic self-motivated individual with an eagerness to learn.
