Job Description:
The Lab Technician will be part of the team responsible for the in-house verification and validation of
CardiacBooster’s pVAD device. You will have a hands-on role in our laboratory. Your key responsibility will be to
obtain reliable test results on the CardiacBooster device or its components. You will perform protocol-defined
tests and analyses and maintenance / data updates on the CardiacBooster research results overviews.
Furthermore, your task will be to maintain a structured lab environment, including maintaining stock supplies
for test executions of the pVAD devices.
The Lab Technician will work closely with other team members, such as Test Engineers and Product
Development Engineers. As Lab Technician, you will share the responsibility of realizing the full potential of
CardiacBooster’s technology. The successful candidate will have entrepreneurial spirit, the required persistence
to succeed in a start-up environment, and the ability to work in a highly dynamic environment.
You will have hands-on experience in working with (wet) test benches for validation and verification. As a
candidate, you will look back on preferably at least 2 years of work experience. You have an, MBO Degree (at
minimum) with relevant experience, in areas, such as ‘Lab analyst’, ‘Allround laborant’, or alike. You will work
from the company’s office in the Netherlands.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Performing bench tests on the company’s catheter device, according to protocols.
• Preparations and maintenance of the company’s bench testing platforms, such as (re)calibrations.
• Translation of test results in objective reports.
• Provide data input for the team, which is transferred by clear communication.
• Managing the structure in the CardiacBooster laboratory, including stock.
Required Qualifications & Characteristics:
• Experience in operating and maintaining test fixtures.
• Experience with physical measurement equipment and sensors.
• Some experience with Matlab + Matlab Simulink is preferred, but not a pre-requisite
• Good communication skills in English.
• MBO Degree with relevant experience, such as ‘Lab analyst’, ‘Allround laborant’.
